How to Connect Tolstoy + Tapcart?
Steps to Enable
The Tolstoy integration is available to all Tapcart customers with Tolstoy accounts. For more information on Tolstoy, check out their website.
Ensure Tolstoy integration is set up in Tapcart (one-time)
Set up Tolstoy integration by going to Integrations page → Tolstoy → Connect integration and adding your Tolstoy appkey
Next, log into your Tolstoy dashboard and navigate to the 'Onsite' tab
From here, select 'Create Tolstoy' and click on the Tapcart ’For You’ feed use case
Click on 'Publish' and copy the URL
Log into your Tapcart dashboard and select Integrations.
Search for Tolstoy and click to open.
Click the 'Connect Integration' button.
Add your Tolstoy app key.
Tolstoy app key can be found within the Tolstoy Settings → Workspace
Select Save & Enable to turn on the integration .
Navigate to the 'Screens' section within your 'App Studio'
Tolstoy blocks will dynamically appear on pages eligible for use such as the Home Page, Collections & Product Detail, Cart & Post Purchase
Navigate to Design Blocks, Scroll to Integration and add Tolstoy - Discover to the page.
Hover over the block and click 'Edit'.
Add the Tolstoy project's Publish ID to the input box on the right-hand side and press 'Save'.
The Tolstoy Publish ID can be found in the project settings.
Once satisfied with the preview, simply save and publish the changes to update your mobile app for all users!
How Does a User Interact with Tolstoy in-app?
Within the Tapcart application, users navigate to the designated page where they can explore the interactive shoppable video feed. Our recommendation engine presents users with personalized product videos, tailored to match their interests and preferences. As users browse through this immersive video content, they can easily interact with in-video product cards. By clicking on these cards, users are directed to the product detail page.
