Cart Recovery AI Push
Turn cart abandonment into opportunity with Tapcart’s new AI cart recovery push notification feature. Automatically send AI-generated push notifications to shoppers who leave items behind in their cart to encourage them to return and complete their purchase.
Each push is written by AI to maximize engagement and conversion while merchants are able to easily give feedback with a simple thumbs-up on messages they like.
How to Enable Cart Recovery AI Push
- On your dashboard, go to Engage > App Notifications > AI Notifications tab 
- Click into AI Cart Recovery card 
- Select Start Campaign

- The top-right value on each card shows the comparison against the previous 7-day period.

Customer Badges Explained
Customer Badges help you quickly understand the type of shopper your Cart Recovery AI Push is reaching. Each badge highlights key insights about a customer’s value, intent, or shopping behavior.
- CLV (Customer Lifetime Value): 
 Customer Cart Value × Average Conversion Rate of Cart Recovery Pushes.
- High Value: 
 CLV is higher than the merchant’s average CLV.
- Non-Purchaser: 
 Customer has never made a purchase before.
- Large Cart: 
 Cart Value is higher than the merchant’s Average Order Value (AOV).
- High Intent: 
 Customer has wishlisted products that are now in their cart.

Push Notification Overview
- The AI Cart Recovery Push is triggered approximately 30 minutes after a shopper abandons their cart. 
- When the user receives the push, long-pressing it will display an expanded notification showing some of the items left in their cart (available for merchants on React Native). 
- Tapping the notification takes the shopper directly back to their cart to complete checkout. 
FAQs
- Will the user get the push exactly 30 minutes after the cart is abandoned? - Not exactly; the target delivery window is 20–40 minutes after a cart is abandoned. 
 
- Can users get repeating cart recovery push notifications? - No. There’s a 10-day blackout period after each cart recovery push is sent. If a user returns to the app and abandons another cart within that period, they won’t receive another push, helping you avoid spamming shoppers. 
 
- Can I see more than 7 days of data? - Not yet. In this initial version, analytics are limited to a rolling 7-day view. Extended timeframes may be added in future updates. 
 
- How is this different from the Abandoned Cart Automated Campaign? - Messages are automatically written by AI to maximize engagement; no manual setup or copy required. 
- When shoppers long-press the push, they’ll see a preview of the items left in their cart (React Native only) 
 - Get real-time analytics, customer badges, and performance summaries directly in your dashboard.
