How Does a Consumer Interact with Shopify Markets?
If your Shopify Markets are set to...
- Markets Default: USD / English
- Market: Mexico
- Currency: Pesos
- Language: Spanish
...and a user has their device local set to Mexico and language set to Spanish, the user will automatically see the app with language = Spanish and currency = pesos
If your Shopify Markets are set to..
- Markets Default: USD / English
- Market: Mexico
- Currency: Pesos
- Language: Spanish
...and a user has their device local set to Portugal and language set to Portuguese since the merchant has not set up Portugal / Portuguese within Shopify markets, the user will see the default: USD / English.
Considerations
Your users have the ability to change the app’s Market based on the left menu Currency picker
- Your app will not be translated if Shopify does not support the language (supported languages)
- Currently, the app will not automatically translate the left menu, multi-page titles, custom block headers, or integration headers like Nosto or Review. This capability is coming soon!
