Adding a custom font(s) or icons helps you achieve a consistent look and feel with your brand and helps you stand out form your peers. Follow the steps below to enable custom fonts and icons on Tapcart.
Upload a Custom Font
- Open the dashboard and navigate to 'Brand Kit' within 'App Studio'
- In the side panel, there will be a 'Typography' section where you can upload your custom font
- Please note, the supported file types are .otf and .ttf
- Once the font is uploaded, click 'Save & Update'
- Important Note: Once you click 'Save & Update' a modal will appear where you will agree that you have the license to use the font.
- After you select 'Save' the font will be uploaded to your Tapcart dashboard
- Important Note: Any changes to the app's font will require a new build. Once you've uploaded the font, please contact your Account Manager or email us at help@tapcart.co and we will kick off a new build for the font to display in your app. Please allow 24-48 hours for any changes to display.
Upload Custom Icons
- Open the dashboard and navigate to 'Brand Kit'
- In the side panel, there will be an 'Icon' section where you can upload custom icons
- Important Notes:
- Only SVG files are supported
- Max file size: 1 MB
- The background must be transparent
- You can upload up to 17 icons
- Once those icons have been uploaded you will see a 'X more icons' button appear at the bottom of the uploaded icon section
- From here, you can click to view all of the icons they have uploaded
Delete or Replace a Custom Icon
- You can delete any icon that is not currently being used in your navigation or account menu items by hovering over the icon and clicking the 'X' in the upper right corner
- You can replace any icon (whether or not it's being used in your navigation or account menu) by clicking on the icon and uploading a new icon file in the uploader
Add Custom Icons to Your Navigation or Account Menu

To add custom icons to your menu items simply open the icon picker for the menu item and you’ll now see a new 'Your Icons' section

Considerations
Displaying a new font in app requires a new build submission to both Apple and Google Play in order to update. Please note, this can take about 24-48 hours to process and submit.
