How to Connect Yotpo Loyalty & Referrals + Tapcart? 

Here’s how to set up the integration: 

The integration is available to all Tapcart customers who also have a Yotpo Loyalty & Referrals subscription.

In the steps below, we will walk through all the required fields you will enter when connecting this integration.

Steps

  1. Navigate to your Shopify Dashboard and select ‘Apps’
  2. Find and click on the ‘Loyalty & Referrals by Yotpo’ app
  3. Tap the ‘Settings’ tab
  4. Copy and paste both the ‘API Key’ and ‘GUID’ values in their respective fields in the Tapcart Dashboard on the Yotpo Loyalty & Referrals integration page

Below, is a description of each field that you will need to complete when configuring the integration. 

Your Balance Copy: Customize the 'Your Balance' copy to fit your loyalty type.

Display Loyalty Type: Display your loyalty type with the total balance of points OR leverage a tier name and leverage a gamification tactic when users sign up for your loyalty program.

Hide Tiered Points Slider: By turning this customization on, you can hide the points slider that displays automatically.

Hide Tiered Points Slider Copy: By turning this customization on, you can hide the copy that is associated with the points slider.

Rewards Web URL: Connect your store’s dedicated webpage to your Rewards program. App users will be able to access the URL in the info icon on the upper right-hand corner of the Loyalty User Account View.

Custom Banner: Show off your branding and add a splash of color in the Loyalty User Account View. The banner will also show in the Redemption View within the cart and checkout. The Custom Banner is required to enable the integration.

Customer Referral Program Description:  Customize a message your customers will see to encourage them to share a referral link! This field is already completed on the integration page, however, as a best practice, we recommend updating this to match your brand.

Considerations

In order to utilize the loyalty functionality, the Consumer must be logged into their account. Please note that subscription products currently cannot be purchased using rewards from a loyalty provider. 

To view loyalty rewards account info, the User Account View will have a new CTA to view their loyalty rewards account info.

To redeem points for rewards, the Cart and Checkout Views will have a new CTA in the top-right corner that will open a new view to browse redemption options. Once a reward is redeemed, it will automatically apply to the checkout as a discount or gift card.

Redeeming a reward is a non-reversible action. Once a consumer selects a reward to redeem, they will not be able to get points back should they change their mind. However, if the Consumer does not follow through with their purchase, the reward will be saved to cache and they will be able to view their reward in an “Unclaimed” section and be able to apply it to a future purchase.
