Updating the App Listing section within your dashboard or enabling certain integrations will require a new build to be submitted to the App and Google Play Stores for approval to go live as an update. In this article, we will review the changes made to your app that require an update.
The App Listing
Your ‘App Listing’ section within the dashboard is the only design section that is hardcoded and requires an update to be submitted. This includes any changes to your branding, listing, and marketing assets, as all these points are tied directly to your App Listing within the Apple and Google Play Stores and require approval from their developer teams before going live.
Specific updates, like changing your app's name as it appears in app stores, can also be handled within the App Listing section. This change allows you to improve your app’s brand recognition or adapt to business updates.
You can submit your update by selecting ‘Submit Update’ in the top right corner, this will appear after any changes you make! To confirm your update was received by our team we always recommend messaging us through LiveChat within your dashboard or email us at [email protected].
To change your app's name, follow these steps:
Access the App Listing:
Log in to your Tapcart dashboard and navigate to the App Listing section.
Enter the Desired Name:
Enter the new app name exactly as you want it to be displayed in the app stores.
Submit the Request:
Complete the submission through the dashboard. Tapcart will handle the update process with the app stores on your behalf.
Approval timelines depend on the respective app store policies, and once approved, the new name will be reflected in the app store listings.
Implications of App Name Changes Changing your app’s name in app stores will update the app store listings but will not affect magic links or landing page URLs. Existing links you’ve shared or integrated externally will remain functional, ensuring a seamless user experience.Integration Enablement
The listed integrations require your apps to be live within the App and Google Play Stores to complete the configuration on our backend. Once you have enabled either integration within the dashboard, please chat with us through LiveChat within your dashboard or email us at [email protected] to submit the new update for you.
