What is ShipInsure?

Protect your customers’ orders from loss, theft, damage in transit, manufacturing defects, the wrong item being sent, and other issues that create headaches for your business. ShipInsure streamlines the resolution process for customers when their deliveries do not go as planned. Customers can purchase ShipInsure by opting in to protection and adding the SKU to their cart.

Loyal customers who use a brand’s app should enjoy the same seamless experience and full feature access they get on the website. ShipInsure aims to enhance this experience by partnering with TapCart. By integrating ShipInsure with TapCart, merchants can easily drag and drop a block onto the Cart page, allowing customers to add extra coverage to their orders with ease.

How to Connect ShipInsure + Tapcart?

Integrations are available to all Tapcart Enterprise customers with Custom Block enabled. All they would need is have our app installed and embed our streaming widget within the custom block code.

Setup Instructions:

  1. Load the Tapcart dashboard

  2. Navigate to the Integrations tab

  3. Select ShipInsure

  4. Enter your Shopify ID

  5. Enable the integration

  6. Next, select App Studio -> Cart

  7. Select the Integrations tab -> ShipInsure

  8. Place the block on the Cart (drag and drop)

  9. Save & Update to Publish

How Does a User Interact with Partner in-app?

The User simply toggles on or off the switch on the thin banner-style block that says Shipping Protection. This will either add a ShipInsure product to the cart or remove it.

Considerations

Merchants have the ability to configure the widget to be Opt-In or Opt-Out.

  • Opt-In means that the customer will have to toggle the switch on to have coverage

  • Opt-Out means that the coverage will automatically be added and the customer must toggle off to decline (remove the product from the cart).
