Each push is written by AI to maximize engagement and conversion while merchants are able to easily give feedback with a simple thumbs-up on messages they like.

How to Enable Winback AI Notifications

  1. On your dashboard, go to Engage > App Notifications > AI Notifications tab

  2. Click into AI Winback card

  3. Select Start Campaign

Top-Level Analytics

View a snapshot of your Winback Sales, Conversions, and Notifications Sent — all tracked within a rolling 30-day period.

  • The top-right value on each card shows the comparison against the previous 30-day period.

  • Hover over any bar to see the daily totals and day-over-day comparison.

Campaign Insights

Get a holistic view of how your AI Push is performing:

  • Metrics include App Opens, Click Through Rate, and Conversion Rate

  • Plus, an AI-generated summary that explains your winback performance over the past 30 days

Recent Notifications

See all the Winback notifications sent in the last 30 days, updated in real time.
Provide feedback directly to the AI by clicking the thumbs-up icon next to any notification you like.

Customer Badges Explained

Customer Badges help you quickly understand the type of shopper your Winback AI Notification is reaching. Each badge highlights key insights about a customer’s value, intent, or shopping behavior.

  • CLV (Customer Lifetime Value):
    Customer Cart Value × Average Conversion Rate of Cart Recovery Pushes.

  • Never Purchased:
    Customer has never made a purchase before.

  • New Customer:

    Customer has made 1 purchase.

  • Repeat Buyer:

    Customer has made 2 or more purchases.

  • Big Cart:
    Cart Value is higher than the merchant’s Average Order Value (AOV).

  • High Intent:
    Customer has wishlisted products that are now in their cart.

Explore detailed insights into every conversion driven by AI Notifications over the past 30 days, including cart values and item counts for each purchaser won back.

AI Tuning

Wait Time:

The amount of time to wait after a customer has made a purchase to send them a Winback push notification.

Next Follow Up
The amount of time to wait before sending a follow-up push notification after the initial message.

Add Existing Discount Code
Add an existing discount code so the AI can automatically include it in the push notification content.

Audience Tuning

Audience Overrides let you customize your AI Notification settings for specific customer segments. Instead of sending the same message and offer to everyone, you can tailor discount codes and AI instructions based on customer behavior.

  1. Click on each segment (Never Purchased, New Customer, etc) to expand the section

  2. Discount Code: A code specific to this audience. This replaces the global discount code for users in this audience.

  3. Additional Instructions: Custom AI instructions for this audience. This replaces the global additional instructions for users in this audience.

  4. Preview your notifications: Use the Preview feature to see sample AI-generated notifications for each audience before saving

  5. Save: Click Save to apply your audience overrides. They'll take effect on the next push notification cycle.

Additional Instructions
Provide extra guidance to help the AI match your brand’s tone, voice, or messaging preferences.

  • Not sure what to write? Use the Insert Prompt Template button next to the Additional Instructions field to browse a library of pre-built instruction templates. Each template covers a common use case so you don't have to figure out how to phrase things from scratch.

AI Creativity
Controls how creative the AI-generated push notifications are. Higher settings produce more creative copy. The default setting is 4.

Training Data
A collection of push notifications you have given a thumbs up to. These are used to help the AI better align with your preferences over time.

  1. Does a new purchase affect the winback notification schedule?

    1. The winback delay resets whenever a customer makes a new purchase. For example, if the Wait Time is 30 days and a customer bought something 20 days ago, they would normally receive a winback push in 10 days. However, if they make another purchase today, the 30-day countdown starts over, and the next winback push will now be sent 30 days from today.

  2. Can I see more than 30 days of data?

    1. Not yet. In this initial version, analytics are limited to a rolling 30-day view. Extended timeframes may be added in future updates.

  3. How is this different from the Winback Automated Campaign?

    1. Messages are automatically written by AI to maximize engagement; no manual setup or copy required.
