Screen Settings: Presentation Style, Transitions & Snap Points

A guide to configuring screen-level settings in Tapcart including presentation style, screen transitions, snap points, and login requirements.

Updated this week

Every screen in your Tapcart app has a set of settings available under the Settings tab in the right rail. These control how the screen appears and behaves when a customer navigates to it. This article covers each setting and what it does.

Presentation Style

The Presentation Style controls how a screen appears on the customer's device when it opens. There are three options:

  1. Pop-In — the screen slides up from the bottom and covers a portion of the current screen. The background content remains partially visible. Use SnapPoints to control how much of the screen it covers.

  2. Fullscreen — the screen takes over the entire display. Background content is no longer visible. No snap points are needed.

  • Drawer — similar to Pop-In, the screen slides up from the bottom. Use a SnapPoint to set the default height of the drawer.

SnapPoints

SnapPoints are available for the Pop-In and Drawer presentation styles. They control what percentage of the screen the content covers when it appears. Values are entered as percentages between 20 and 100, where 20 = 20% of the screen height and 100 = full screen.

You can add multiple snap points to allow customers to expand or collapse the screen by dragging. Each snap point must be greater than the previous one. For example, setting snap points of 50 and 100 would allow the screen to rest at half height and then be dragged up to fill the full screen.

Screen Transition

The Screen Transition controls the animation used when the screen appears. There are four options:

  • Default — the standard system transition

  • Fade — the screen fades in

  • Flip — the screen flips in

  • Slide from Right — the screen slides in from the right

Require Users to be Logged In

The Require users to be logged in toggle controls whether customers must be authenticated before they can view that screen. When enabled, customers who are not signed in will be redirected to the Sign In screen before they can access the content.
