The Share button is a native App Studio block you can add to your Product Detail page (PDP). It lets shoppers share a link to the product they are viewing using their phone's share sheet, including Messages, Mail, and other apps on the device.
This is a built-in Design Block. You do not need a Custom Block or a third-party integration to offer product sharing.
How to add the Share button
Open your Tapcart Dashboard
Hover over App Studio in the header
Select Screens
Select Product Detail from the screen dropdown
In the left block bank, search for Share button
Drag the block onto the Product Detail page where you want it to appear
Hover over the block and click Edit if you want to update the header, button label, or styling in the right rail
Click Publish to push the change live
What customers see on the PDP
On the product page, shoppers see a share section with a header (the default copy is "Share with your friends") and a Share button with a share icon.
When a shopper taps Share, the device share sheet opens. They can send the product link through Messages, Mail, or any other share destination on their phone.
How shared links work
The Share button shares a link to the product the shopper is viewing. Recipients who open the link go to that product.
If native deep linking is enabled for your app, recipients who already have the app installed can land directly on the in-app product page. Recipients who do not have the app open the product on your website. See Native Deep Linking Overview.
Notes
The Share button is a native Design Block. It is not a Custom Block.
Add it to the Product Detail screen so shoppers can share the product they are viewing.
If the block is on the screen but not visible in the live app, confirm you published the Product Detail screen after adding it.
