Why Stay Ai + Tapcart?
The Stay Ai + Tapcart Integration enables brands to pull their subscriber customer portal into the Tapcart app, allowing merchants’ customers to manage their subscriptions directly within the app. Additionally, Stay's no-code, fully customizable customer portal is designed with out-of-the-box revenue-driving features (like a product upsell carousel and banner ads), to drive add-on profit for brands.
How to Connect Stay Ai + Tapcart?
To set up the Stay Ai Integration:

Steps
- Install the Webbridge SDK
- Enable the Shopify Multipass integration
- Create a 'Custom Screen'
- You can find the link for the 'Custom Screen' HERE
- Link the Custom Screen in the app (ex. on the Account page)
- Enable Subscription Checkouts in the Dashboard settings to pull in the Shopify Selling Plans for the products.
How Does a User Interact with Stay Ai In-App?
When a user logs into the app, they'll navigate to your subscription menu option. Once they click on this page, they can manage their subscriptions within the app.
- Important Note: Stay Ai’s customer portal feature appears in a brand’s Tapcart app, just as it would via a mobile Shopify web visit experience.
Within the customer's account, users can complete a variety of standard self-service subscription management functions, such as:
- Get It Now: Trigger their order to ship ASAP, rather than wait for the upcoming order cycle date.
- Skip Next Order: Skip that month’s recurring subscription order.
- Swap Product: Swap the SKU(s) included in their monthly shipment for something else. Products available to swap in are selected by the merchant, via the Stay Ai merchant portal experience.
- Set Next Order Date: Change their recurring subscription order date to the date of their choice.
- Update My Info: Update shipping or billing information.
- Gift Next Order: Opt to gift their upcoming order to another recipient, rather than receiving the order themselves. This feature enables the customer to input their gift recipient’s information, and the recipient will receive an email notification regarding the gifted order, as well as login access for their own customer portal, should they choose to begin a subscription of their own in the future.
- Manage via SMS: Customers can input their cellphone number to engage in transactional SMS conversations.
- View Past Orders: View a historical log of their past subscription purchases.
- Pause Subscription: Subscribers can pause their subscription for a period of time of their choice.
- Cancel Subscription: Subscribers can cancel their subscriptions directly from the customer portal. For brands that integrate with/use RetentionEngine, customers are then directed through a smart cancellation flow. More information on RetentionEngine can be found here.
In addition to standard subscription management functions, customers can also:
- Interact with Banner Ads: From the merchant portal, brands can upload banner ad creative, highlighting products (or discounts) of their choice. Customers can click the banner ad to add the featured product or bundle to their upcoming orders as a one-time add-on.
- Add on Items via the Product Carousel: Customers can choose to add on additional items (either as a one-time purchase, or recurring subscription item) by selecting the item from the on-portal Product Carousel. The items in this carousel, and discounts if applicable, are determined by the merchant via the Stay Ai merchant portal.
- Add Extras to an Upcoming Order: Similar to the product carousel feature, customers can add additional one-time purchases or recurring subscription items to their upcoming orders using this pop-up modal.
- Apply Discount Codes: Apply discount codes to an upcoming order. Discount codes can be shared via traditional channels (email/SMS), or highlighted in a Portal Banner Ad.
- Modify Frequency: Customers can change the frequency in which they receive their subscription orders. Frequency options are set by the brand, via the Stay Ai merchant portal.
