What is Yotpo UGC?
Yotpo UGC (User Generated Content) allows you to showcase brand-curated content that has been created by your brand advocates through a shoppable Instagram feed. Adding the Yotpo UGC block allows customers to see which products are available within the post and from there can easily add the item to their cart! This integration is a great way to add relevant and on-brand content seamlessly within the app as it updates automatically from Instagram.
Prerequisites
Before getting started, make sure you have the following:
An active Tapcart account with a published or in-development app
Access to the integration partner's dashboard or admin panel
How to Connect Yotpo UGC + Tapcart
The integration is available to all Tapcart customers and all Yotpo UGC customers. For more information on Yotpo UGCs plans, check out their pricing page.
Steps
Navigate to your Shopify Dashboard and select Apps
Find and click on the Yotpo UGC app
Tap the Settings tab
Copy and paste the App Key into the respective field in the Tapcart Dashboard on the Yotpo UGC integration page
Then navigate back to the Yotpo Dashboard and copy and paste the Album Name you want to use in the respective field on the Yotpo UGC integration page
Select Save and Enable
Important Notes:
Confirm all tagged products are available within the Tapcart sales channel in Shopify.
You can use a custom album from Yotpo UGC to create a condensed feed to only show product-focused images from Instagram.
How to Promote Yotpo UGC in App
Now that your integration has been configured on the backend, you can promote this feature by adding the Yotpo UGC block to the home page and product detail page.
Steps for Main App Design
Navigate to App Studio > Screens within the Tapcart Dashboard
The Home screen loads by default
Search for Yotpo UGC in the left block bank
Drag and drop into your home page in the desired position
Publish the draft to see the integration in the app.
Steps for Product Detail Page
Navigate to App Studio > Screens within the Tapcart Dashboard
Select Product Detail from the Screen dropdown
Search for Yotpo UGC in the left block bank
Drag and drop into your product detail page in the desired position
Publish the draft to see the integration in the app.
Considerations
The Yotpo UGC block will only show on product detail pages that have content tied to that product.
