What the For You Feed is

The For You Feed is a personalized shopping experience inside your app. It turns your catalog into a lineup of collections tailored to each shopper, ranked by AI based on how that shopper has actually used the app, and refreshed automatically as behavior changes.

Every shopper gets their own feed. No manual setup, no campaign building, no static curation. The catalog reorganizes itself around each person.

How it works

  1. The feed learns from shopper behavior. As shoppers use your app (viewing products, adding to cart, etc.), AI builds an understanding of what each shopper is interested in.

  2. AI picks what's relevant. For every shopper, AI chooses and orders the collections most likely to interest them, and writes a short one-line explanation for each.

  3. The feed surfaces those collections to the shopper. Each entry opens the collection when tapped.

When a shopper is brand new (no behavior yet)

The feed is not empty. When For You is first enabled, AI analyzes your products and collections and generates a sensible default feed. New shoppers see this default until they've browsed enough for AI to learn their preferences, at which point the feed automatically becomes personalized to them.

As you get more traffic

The feed sharpens over time. Personalization gets richer and more specific as more real shopper behavior accumulates, without any action from you.

Getting started

If you can see the For You Feed in your block library, it's already enabled for your app. Place it in your layout like any other block and customize how it looks and behaves from the block settings: theme, scroll behavior, CTA text, promoted and hidden collections, and more.

Best practices for placement

Based on early testing, these placements work best, in order of impact:

  1. As an item in the bottom navigation bar. This is the strongest placement. It gives the feed a persistent home, makes it easy to find, and positions it as a primary surface in your app (alongside Home, Search, Cart, etc.). This placement has shown the strongest discovery and add-to-cart lift.

  2. As a link or entry point on the home page. A clear call-to-action on the home screen (for example, a banner or tile that opens For You) gives shoppers a reason to dive in without using a bottom-nav slot.

  3. As the second tab on the home page. If your home screen uses a tabbed layout, placing For You as the second tab (right after the main home tab) makes it a natural next step for shoppers exploring your app.

Recommended approach: bottom navigation first, then add a home-page link or second tab as a complementary placement. The feed works best when shoppers can reach it in one tap from anywhere in the app.

What to avoid

  • Burying the feed several taps deep inside menus. Shoppers won't find it, and it won't accumulate the engagement needed to personalize well.

  • Using it in place of a static featured-products block on the home page without giving it a clear label. Shoppers may not understand they're seeing a personalized surface.

  • Right now, For You is free to use. You can enable it and try it without being billed.

  • It uses AI credits under the hood (for generating personalized feeds and the short explanation text per collection). Credit usage is tracked.

  • Formal pricing will be announced separately. Until then, there is no charge. When pricing is published, you'll be notified in advance.
