Translate your App's Menu Navigation

Updated over a week ago

Language localization in e-commerce apps expands market reach, improves user experience, and boosts conversions by offering content in users' native languages. It caters to cultural preferences, enhances customer support, and ensures regulatory compliance. Localization also aids SEO, gives a competitive advantage, and fosters a positive brand perception.

Steps

Prerequisite: Shopify markets are required to be set up to use this feature. Please reference, Tapcart x Shopify Markets for more details.

  1. Once you land on Design on the Tapcart dashboard, go to the “Navigation” page

  2. You will see a dropdown under “Language” for you to choose which language you would like to translate your menu items in

  3. Once you select a language, you will notice the menu items are defaulted to English. You now have the ability to edit each menu item to reflect the proper language translation.

    • Important Note: Menu Item Translation supports both side and bottom navigation.

Considerations

All languages within the dropdown are displayed based on your Shopify Markets setup. If you do not see the language you are expecting, please review your settings in Shopify.
