AI Checkout Recovery Notification
AI Checkout Recovery Notification automatically sends a personalized push notification to customers who begin the checkout process but leave before completing their purchase. Unlike Cart Recovery which targets customers who added items to their cart but never started checkout, Checkout Recovery focuses on the highest-intent abandoners: customers who started checkout and then dropped off.
The AI generates unique push content for each customer based on their cart contents and your brand’s tone. No manual setup is required beyond enabling the feature.

FAQs
What counts as “starting checkout”?
A customer qualifies for Checkout Recovery when they enter the checkout flow in your app (for example, reaching the shipping information or payment page) but leave without completing the order.
Will customers receive both a Cart Recovery and a Checkout Recovery push?
No. The AI engine determines which push type is appropriate based on how far the customer got. A customer who started checkout will receive a Checkout Recovery push, not a Cart Recovery push. They won’t receive both for the same session.
Can I add a discount code to Checkout Recovery pushes?
Yes. In the AI Tuning panel, use the discount code dropdown to select an existing code. The AI will incorporate the offer naturally into the notification copy.
What happens if a customer completes their purchase before the push is sent?
The AI will not send a Checkout Recovery notification to a customer who has already completed their purchase. The audience is re-evaluated before each send to avoid irrelevant messages.
Can I see which specific notification led to a conversion?
Yes. The Checkouts Recovered table in the dashboard shows the exact push notification that drove each conversion, alongside the customer’s order details.
