Step 4: Register Your Developer Accounts

Set up your Apple and Google developer accounts, invite Tapcart, and configure your API key and Firebase. Start this step early — it's the biggest factor in how quickly you can go live.

To publish your app on the App Store and Google Play, you'll need a developer account on each platform and you'll need to invite Tapcart so we can submit and manage your app on your behalf.

Start this step as early as possible. Your D-U-N-S Number can take up to 5 business days to process and is required for both Apple and Google enrollment. This is the single biggest factor in how quickly you can go live — don't wait until everything else is done to start it.

1. Request Your D-U-N-S Number

A D-U-N-S Number is required to enroll as a Company or Organization on both Apple and Google. Check if your business already has one before requesting a new one.

2. Create Your Apple Developer Account

Enroll as a Company/Organization — not Individual. The $99 annual fee is required. Set it to auto-renew so your account doesn't lapse after launch.

3. Invite Tapcart to Your Apple Developer Account

Tapcart needs Admin access to your Apple Developer account to submit and manage your iOS app. Your Implementation Manager will provide the email address to use.

4. Create Your Google Play Developer Account

Enroll as an Organization or Business. The $25 one-time fee is required. Use a shared or role-based email — the account owner cannot be changed later.

5. Invite Tapcart to Your Google Play Console

Invite [email protected] with Administrator permissions so we can submit and manage your Android app.

6. Provision Your App Store Connect API Key

This key gives Tapcart the access it needs to build and submit your iOS app. You'll need Admin or Account Holder permissions in App Store Connect to generate it.

7. Set Up Firebase

Firebase powers app analytics and Android push notifications. You'll need to set it up for both iOS and Android and upload your config files to the Tapcart dashboard.

Once all of the above are complete, let your Implementation Manager or our Support team know and they'll confirm everything is in place before submission.
