What is Searchspring? 

Searchspring is an in-app search and PLP merchandising solution that offers customers a more personalized shopping experience.

Why Searchspring + Tapcart? 

The Searchspring and Tapcart integration is used to convert more shoppers by enabling a search and merchandising solution right inside your app. This gives customers the ability to seamlessly find what they are looking for based on personalized data. To create a memorable shopping experience and thus lead to an increase in cart value, conversion rate, and retention with personalized search, PLP merchandising, and shopper insights!

How to Connect Searchspring + Tapcart? 

Here’s how to set up this integration:

The integration is available to all Tapcart customers and Searchspring customers.  For more information on Searchspring, check out their website.

Steps

1. Log in to your Tapcart dashboard and tap into ‘Integrations’
2. Navigate and click on ‘Searchspring’ 
3. From here you will enter your Searchspring Site ID
   • This can be found in your Searchspring Management Console
4. Next, add your Collection Handle (ie.,  key + value) 
   • The most common are, collection handle:
     • Key = collection_handle
     • Value = Collection_Handle
   • collection handle (collection id)
     • Key: collection_id
     • Value: Collection_ID
   • collection handle (collection name)
     
     • Key: collection_name
     • Value: Collection_Name
5. Then enter your optional Collection Custom Filters value. This will be used to further enhance the collection results displayed to the customer.
   • Example: “bgfilter.ss_is_published=1&bgfilter.ss_opt_in=0”
6. Finally, enter your optional Text Search Custom Filters value. This will be used to further enhance the search results displayed to the customer.
   • Example: “bgfilter.ss_is_published=1&bgfilter.ss_opt_in=0”
7. Click ‘Save’ and you’re all set!

Considerations 

• Once Searchspring is enabled in Tapcart, we recommend testing the integration by searching for products within your app to verify the results are accurate and relevant!
